Who We Are
Based out of Southern Ontario, Canada, The Bunkie Co. is taking glamping to a whole new level with its proprietary offering, The Bunkie. With its sleek design and modular construction, The Bunkie makes for an easy and stylish four-season addition to any property. With clients located across North America and beyond, we’re looking to partner with skilled contractors to assist in Bunkie builds within their regions.
What Sets The Bunkie Apart?
Fully insulated, all of our Bunkie models come complete with weather membranes, and insulation and are four-season ready. Whether it’s as an extra studio space, office space, sleep space or beyond, our clients love The Bunkie for its small footprint and purposeful design.
No building permit required
At a maximum of 106 square feet (200 square feet in certain U.S. areas), we’ve designed all our Bunkie models to a size that is below the minimum square footage required to obtain a building permit in both Canada and the U.S.
Simple shipping, transport and unloading
Available for shipping across North America, The Bunkie is prefabricated, flat packed and shipped on standard width pallets via delivery truck.
You’ll find a typical Bunkie order consists of:
4-6 pallets, 47” wide each:
Qty 1 - 4’ x 4
Qty 3 - The pre-built wood sections, that range in length from 8’, 11’ and 13’. Each weighing approx. 600 - 800 lbs per pallet
Qty 1 - a 12’ long crate of glass, weighing approx. 1,000 lbs (glass is shipped within prefabbed aluminum frames)
Qty 1 - a 14’ long crate of metal siding, weighing approx. 1,000 lbs
Other pallets may be included if cabinets, wall beds or other options are part of the order
The 4-6 pallets/crates can then be unstrapped and hand unloaded, with all sections/glass pieces and metal cladding able to be carried by 2 people. To save time, you may also hire a skid steer or tractor with extended forks to quickly unload the pallets.
Quick and easy assembly, anywhere
Because our products are sold and shipped prefabricated, assembly of a Bunkie only takes 4-5 days, and it can be done in remote and otherwise difficult-to-access sites. All Bunkie models come with detailed, step-by-step installation instructions. You prep the foundation and read our directions to build from frame to finished product. We work hard to ensure there’s no guesswork along the way.

Set yourself apart
The Bunkie is a unique build, to say the least, and the tiny home industry is growing. By recommending and building Bunkies, become a part of a flourishing industry that is catching attention and gaining momentum across North America. Clients will appreciate your unique skills, experience and insight.
Our Process
From pre-build through to on-site and final construction, all contractors will have the support of a Bunkie Co. contact. Once a build has been contracted, The Bunkie Co. will work with you to establish initial build parameters. From there, the contractor will be the main point of contact for the client throughout the building process. Of course, contractors can always contact The Bunkie Co. for any additional questions.
In terms of timelines, we expect that most builds will be completed within 2 weeks; though, there are additional considerations depending on the build site conditions.
*Please note that we do not permit contractors to show photos of their Bunkie build work at this time.
